Life is like a road trip to the beach.

"You wish that you could stay longer but just like life everything has to come to an end at sometime or another. "

Under the hot sunny noontime madness, we arrived in a private cool bright place – Dakak Beach Resort, Dapitan, Zamboanga, Philippines. Kym loved the sand, but not the water. She played in the sand all noon till the afternoon, and forgot her afternoon sleep.

Who would not enjoy just hanging out near the white sand beach? The view all around is just timeless.

Life is a beach, I'm just playin' in the sand.

Life is like an airplane ride.

sometimes you hit turbulance,
and sometimes you go smooth,
but other times you crash.
But those things can be repaired.

Kym’s first seat in an airplane ride.

Each of us has known someone who has been under the influence of drugs and alcohol and has seen the effects on his life. The remedy for such addictions is often
extreme but very necessary if the individual is going to be saved. Sin takes us farther than we wanted to go, keeps us longer than we want to stay, and costs us more than we want to pay. The Biblical cure for our sin begins with repentance from a broken heart.

Psalms 6:1-10

This psalm talks about a prayer of faith in time of distress. This song shows how sorrowful the man is and how he grieved for all his troubles. Yet he called on God. Even if the world is your enemy, we have a great friend -> GOD. We can lean on Him. We all just have FAITH.

Life is like spaghetti.

Kym waiting for dinner to be served on top of the dining table.

 – it is a complicated process to make it.

Spaghetti for dinner!

Life is like a book.

each day a new page with adventures to experience, lesson to learn & good deeds to replicate. HAVE A COLOR PAGE EVERYDAY.

Kym loves books. She doesn’t know how to read yet, but she will someday. And that someday is coming soon! But I am hoping that, when she will master the mechanics of reading, she will still love books.

Kym loves colorful books with pictures… Of course, this is what we always gave her since she was beyond 1 year old.

Kym loves books even without pictures… She pretends reading them sometimes. Babbling on anything she can say looking and pointing at the words while sitting down in a chair. It was so fun to watch her…

Reading a book is hard for me, but not for my husband who is a bookworm

Life is like a wheel.

Sometime goes up and sometimes go down.

Everyday we face trials as we go on with our journey. Always remember, God will not give us a problem we can’t bear.

 Mallberry Suites
Cagayan de Oro

It is a first class business hotel but I think, it can also be for families. The place is convenient as it is located right beside Limketkai Center Mall and Robinsons Mall, Cagayan de Oro. With free breakfast buffet… The food is delicious and unlimited!
But their hotel amenities are not for free.

We stayed in a standard room, a taste of luxury for 2 nights. We then, headed to Davao City early next morning.

Life is like playing the piano.

First you must learn to
play by the rules,
then you must
forget the rules ♥
and lay from your heart...

Life is like a hotdog on a stick.

Yummy.
Delicious.
Fun.

Kym enjoying her hotdog.

I wonder how frequently we miss out on what God has for us because we’ve become comfortable where we are. Quite often, the call of faith is a call away – away from what we know and love. Is there any comfort in life that would block your obedience to God? Renew your commitment to Him today – wherever He may lead.

Enjoy the blessings of following God’s call and plan for your life.

Life is like a hot bath.

Life is like a hot bath.

It feels good while you’re in it,

but the longer you stay in,

the more wrinkled you get.

Lola Mic2x bought this mini swimming pool for Kym. Thanks lola Mic2x!

Kym enjoys swimming in her pool out in the front yard. One cloudy day, she took a bath in the pool and enjoyed. But later on, she was shivering. But we were too late already, she got sick.

I am so sorry Kym that, I left you in the pool feeling wet and cold.  I shouldn’t do that again.

Kym enjoys every time when she takes a dip in that lukewarm water in a pail. It really feels good down there. She wants to stay longer and we need to watch her every time she is in it… She doesn’t want to end her bath so quickly.
Until now, she can still fit in a pail. And every after bath, she gets wrinkled toes and fingers.

Life is like golf.

Life,

rather like Golf is full of hidden traps,

obstructions, and holes to fall into.

This was my very first golfing moments with my husband and my daughter. We enjoyed a lot.

Life is like a sandcastle.

Everything is just right;

perfectly in place, in balance -
then something comes up

and it all comes crashing down.

Papa and Kym playing in the sand.

Sandcastles are built not for endless time. The sea washes it away, slowly erasing it as the tide goes up during the night. Life is short-lived and human morality washes it all away.

Build your life on a firm foundation with Jesus Christ.  We are His sculptures, but we’ll only last if our foundation is firm.

Life is like a staircase.

You have to go each stair to reach the top.

Walk in Love. Walk in Light. Walk in Wisdom.

Walk in Love.

Let us be like God. Avoid imitating others especially those foolish idols. Live our lives pleasing to God’s sight. Our lives should be an offering to God and a sweet-smelling aroma. Let us be worthy to face God in the end.

Ephesians 5:1-7

Because God is love, believers emulating Him will live a life that manifests that same love. If we are true followers of Christ, our desire should be to avoid the pagan pitfalls listed here and live a life pleasing to the Lord.

Walk in Light.

Living in the light with God is being in the truth; doing what the Bible says and not what the world says. So that others will also be drawn into the light.

Ephesians 5:8-14

The dark can be a scary place! In Christ we are the lights in the world (Matthew 5:14). You should live so others will see and be drawn to the light. We are not to have fellowship with darkness, but show others where they can come to the light (John 1:9). Paul points out some contrasts between the conditions of the unbeliever and the believer. The believer has two responsibilities regarding sin. First, he must have no part in it. Second, he is to reprove such behavior in others.

Walk in Wisdom.

Jesus is coming back. We don’t know when but He said He will come back soon, and I know it’s already near. We should not waste time. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and understand the Will of God in our lives. This is walking with wisdom. Walking with fear of the Lord and submitting to one another with love.

Walk carefully or accurately. We are to be wise in our choices we make everyday as to how we walk in the Lord.

Life is a gift.

Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.

                                                                - Regina Brett

Last 2008, we celebrated Christmas in Cagayan de Oro with my tita Mogen and Ate Rita.

Kym was surprised opening the gifts and playing with all the used gift wrappers. She wondered why the tape always gets stuck in her hands.

Merry Christmas 2008 Everyone!

Life is like basketball.

“The game of life is like basketball,

it can't be played alone.”

Location:
Basketball Court
Word of Life Seaside Bible Camp,
Barra, Opol, Misamis Oriental

In the game of life, it's a good idea to have a few early losses… so that you can learn!

In the game of life, it’s a good idea to appreciate every moment... so that you can live!

In the game of life, it’s a good idea to have faith whenever difficulties come...

Let the same be true in your walk of faith. When you trust that God will faithfully and graciously respond to your petitions, you can rejoice, knowing that He will make a way, even before you see the results.

Enjoy the game, enjoy the future – today!
