Life is like a pill.

Life is a pill which none of us can bear to swallow without gilding.

Medicine time!

Kym still sleepy.

Yummy?

Every day life with medicines is so complicated especially for a little child. From the start of the morning after she wakes up, she gets her first dose of Vitamin C + Cortisol hormone + Thyroid hormone. Before her afternoon sleep and before she goes to sleep, she takes another Vitamin C + Cortisol hormone again. Human Growth hormone is injected every night subcutaneously. Medications increases in dose every time she gains weight.

Kym rely on these medicines everyday. They serve as her replacement hormone therapy. The thyroid hormone and cortisol hormone medicines are prescribed to take for a lifetime. I don’t know about the Human Growth Hormone. It is prescribed to her as long as her epiphyseal plates close. I mean, as long as the bones stop growing… 15 more years to go – and it is still a long time. But her bones are subject to be examined first if she needs to stop this every night injections.

Imagine how painful life for her every night. She still anticipates the pain whenever she sees the needle. As she grows older, maybe she wouldn’t mind the sting the needle gives her anymore.
